PRENUPTIALS
A prenuptial agreement is a contract entered into prior to marriage for those couples wishing to keep premarital assets separate in the event of unforseen circumstances.
The content of a prenuptial agreement can vary widely, but commonly includes provisions for division of property and spousal support in the event of death or dissolution of the marriage. Clients who marry late in life and have separate assets and homes may want to preserve the same for children from a prior marriage.
